Oceana Penthouse

We were thrilled to tackle this amazing penthouse apartment in one of the first high rise apartments built in Elizabeth Bay. Constructed in 1961, Oceana was built using the Bauhaus philosophy of “form follows function”, a design concept that was respected throughout the building process.

Historic Manar Apartment

Nestled into the bustling streets of Potts Point, the incredible Manar buildings sit, a quiet and tranquil setting amongst a busy city. Building 1, constructed into 5 apartments in 1919, was where our renovation took place. This beautiful heritage building was designed in the Neo-Georgian Style and modernising it while respecting its original heritage was artfully executed by the designer.

Neutral Bay 1930s Charmer

This classic federation home renovation was not without its challenges! On the Lower Ground Floor Level, we excavated into rock & removed concrete walls and beams to create a luxurious master suite complete with dressing room and ensuite. Installing hydronic in-slab concrete heating and radiator wall panels throughout the foyer and laundry creates a cosy environment for the chilly winter nights.

Upon demolition, we came across an original sandstone wall in the foyer. We preserved it to create a beautiful feature wall, which compliments the herringbone floorboards perfectly and leaves a great first impression to the home as you enter.

The layout of the First Floor was completely flipped to give the house a more modern feel and help with the flow. The living, dining & kitchen were moved to the front of the house, which opens up to a large covered deck area to enjoy the beautiful leafy suburb of Neutral Bay and city skyline.

All bedrooms were moved to the rear of the First Floor and we were able to maintain 2 very generous bedrooms with built ins and add a study which opens up into the rear yard. An updated main bathroom completed this area with beautiful features & thought out details.

Marrickville Federation Makeover

This beautiful federation home in Marrickville got a complete makeover designed by Studio Prineas which consisted of an extension into the rear yard, new slate roofing and freshening up the existing part of the home.

Once the extension was in place, we were able to add a large, elegant, high end kitchen with top of the range appliances, LED lighting, finishes, steel doors & windows.

Hidden behind 2 sliding doors off the kitchen you'll find the butlers pantry and the laundry room with a beautiful polished terrazzo floor to finish off the look. All the room you could need while maintaining a luxurious feel and functionality.

The main bathroom and ensuite have been beautifully designed and finished with mosaic tiles, black fixtures & fittings and polished terrazzo floors with dark green marble.

Off the kitchen and living area is the covered deck area with daybed and hidden storage below. A perfect finish to the extension, allowing the clients to open up the doors and entertain to their heart content.

Castlecrag Mid-Century Modern Beauty

As beautiful as this mid century home was in its original layout, it was not very practical. With very sectional and closed off rooms, there was no flow to the home.

We removed a majority of the ground floor walls and completely changed the layout giving this midcentury modern home the open plan design it needed and deserved.

The ground floor consists of a master bedroom with ensuite and reading nook, study, WC, laundry room, a TV room which flows onto the kitchen and dining area with a fireplace that looks out over the trees.

We also add a full first floor addition to this home while keeping its midcentury charm. The first floor consists of 2 very generous size bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a study/games room.

The external area was handled with a lot of care as this home is tucked away in a nature reserve so the landscaping was kept to native plants, minor concrete and paving to have minimal impact on the surroundings. We also added the carport area and made it look as though it was always there.

Classic Petersham Terrace

This Terrace in Petersham had a lot of potential but was closed off and dark. We removed walls and used the existing bathroom/laundry area in the rear of the home to create a more practical and beautiful space for the kitchen and entertaining area.

Skylights were added to give the area some much needed natural light. An existing small room turned into the new main bathroom with hidden laundry. The area was very well designed and thought out by the architect and executed by the Cosmic team. We also opened up the rear wall leading out into the yard making way for a larger door and creating a beautiful flow through inside and out.

Longueville Mid 90s Architectural Gem

We added a beautiful modern addition to the rear of this mid 90's home in Longueville. The first floor extension gave this family the extra space they needed with 2 extra bedrooms both with wardrobes, 2 bathrooms (one main and one ensuite) and a new TV room for the kids to veg out in.

Arabella.back.LB2.jpg

The bathrooms are covered in Carrara Marble and high end finishes - nothing short of luxury.

The external to the addition is wrapped in zinc standing seam cladding, which is a huge wow factor. New landscaping and a complete new paint job inside and out transformed this tired 90's home into the modern luxury standout home on the street.
